About me

Former Hoosier living in San Francisco.

Mad LovettRecovering theatre major, Marine Corps veteran, amateur historian. I love Chardonnay and cheese, traveling, wry humor, playing dress-up, maps, vintage kitsch, and old movies.

My interests include the history of wars, ancient civilizations, cinema, arts and technology, and the history of mental illness and death culture. I’m currently taking classes in circus aerial arts and having a blast dangling on scarves.

I moderate a collection of essays and reflections about death and dying on Medium.com called Death Cafe. I wrote about my experience as a stroke patient in “The Time Bomb in My Head” (spoiler alert: I lived).
